Meet The Founder & CEO

Cassandra Hamer is a visionary leader in graphic design education and the founder of Design Elementary, a program that makes design literacy accessible to young learners. A native of Connecticut, Cassandra holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Liberty University and is pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Educational Leadership. She began designing at the age of 9 and has since dedicated her career to helping children develop their creative potential. Through her book, ABCs of Design, and hands-on programs, she empowers children to see themselves as innovators and problem-solvers.

Cassandra has impacted over 4,000 students and worked with organizations like the Girl Scouts of Connecticut, Google, and Sweet and Sound, bringing design education to diverse audiences. Her mission is to ensure that creativity is recognized as a fundamental tool for success across all fields. She combines her creative expertise and strategic vision to elevate design education beyond the classroom, fostering skills that help students thrive in an ever-evolving world.
